Babies are SO cute.  I just started working in the NICU today & I was so overwhelmed by all the little cutie pies I saw   With some down time, my classmate & I decided to be "snugglers" & play with the crying babies.  I couldn't help but feel so attracted to these lovable tiny babies, but also so scared to hold them.  They're so tiny!  I felt like I could never be ready for so much responsibility to have one of my own right now.  Yet after a while, I got used to have a little miracle in my arms.  I got to get out of this rotation before I start really letting my biological clock tick.

Caught a bug...got the stomach flu...felt miserable...hated my life sitting in class & working a long day with fever/chills & bad cases of you-know-what...  yet the kindness of a friend made my day a little bit better when he realized i was having a fever & took off in the middle of class to get me some aspirin & encouraged me to ditch class for 2 hours to sleep...

Treated myself to a rental after a day & a half of sleep to kick the bug...  In Her Shoes is really good...themes of self-esteem & change...& friendships/sisterhood.  Makes me miss my sister...

Valentine's Day is not my day to celebrate romantic love, regardless if I have been in a relationship or not.  It's a day to remind myself to love someone else who may be lonely or sad on this Singles' Awareness Day.  Yesterday, I forced myself to go outside of my comfort zone to do surprises for other people...and it felt really good for me & for my friends (I hope...hehe).  Sitting outside my hospital for 30+ minutes, I was wondering why I put myself through this waiting game to surprise a friend on-call after my own long day at work.  The reward was seeing his face when he realized that someone brought him food.   In addition, I loved spending my time with my girlfriends last night.  It's so wonderful to know that I can giggle like crazy with them & feel free to be girly & retarded.  I had a really hot date by the way.  My girlfriend wants everyone to know that she was my hot date & that boys are stinky...haha.

arrr...  i woke up to find my face swollen & red... some allergic reaction, but to what i don't know...  so at 530am i took benadryl (which makes me really drowsy) & prayed that i wouldn't fall asleep or knock out at work.   sucks to be puffy.  hopefully another dose of benadryl before bed will do the trick.
